Take a deep breathe and open your eyes. Look around, take it all in. Who are we and why are we here ? What does our existence on this planet mean ? Taylor Swift said it best, “This is life before we know who we’re supposed to be.” So for now, just relax. I’m learning to live again, learning to laugh without allowing some burden to heavy my spirits, learning to love without truly being afraid, learning that everything in my life is not in my hands, that I’m wasting too much time thinking about the future and completely wasting away my present. I’m learning to trust, to believe, to let go; to take that leap of faith with my eyes closed and hope to god it’s worth it, because in that moment, I know it is.
“You don’t get how happy you make me. I’m going to see you in an hour and I can’t stop smiling and dancing around because I just can’t wait. I promised myself I wouldn’t be that girl who always blogged and talked about her boyfriend, and for two and a half years, I did just that. If you just looked at my facebook or tumblr, no one would’ve known I was in a relationship. I wanted it that way because yes, even though we’re together, I am my own person. Lately we’ve been on the rocks, and I’ve been a bit more open and public about our relationship, not because I’m turning into that needy girlfriend who’s boyfriend is her entire life, but because I came so close to losing you, and I realized that there’s nothing wrong in showing you off to the world. You’re mine, and I’m so proud of that. You asked me why I love you so much. Well, babe, you do you, and you let me do me. But when we’re together, there’s nothing better than us. So there. Okay, time to get ready, see you soooon (:”—
“When someone cries so hard that it hurts their throat, it is out of frustration or knowing that no matter what you can do or attempt to do can change the situation. When you feel like you need to cry, when you want to just get it out, relieve some of the pressure from the inside - that is true pain. Because no matter how hard you try or how bad you want to, you can’t. That pain just stays in place. Then, if you are lucky, one small tear may escape from those eyes that water constantly. That one tear, that tiny, salty, droplet of moisture is a means of escape. Although it’s just a small tear, it is the heaviest thing in the world. And it doesn’t do a damn thing to fix anything.”—Chase Brooks (via atomos)
“Whatever you do in life will be insignificant but it is very important that you do it because you can’t know… you can’t ever really know the meaning of your life… And you don’t need to just know that your life has a meaning. Every life has a meaning, whether it lasts one hundred years or one hundred seconds… Every life… And every death… changes the world in its own way. Ghandi knew this. He knew his life would mean something to someone, somewhere, somehow. And he knew with as much certainty that he could never know that meaning. He understood that enjoying life should be of much greater concern then understanding it. And so do I. You can’t know. So don’t take it for granted, but don’t take it too seriously. Don’t postpone what you want… Don’t leave anything misunderstood… Make sure the people you care about know… Make sure they know how you really feel… Because just like that… It could end.”—Tyler, Remember Me
