is my best friend. And yes, he is also my ex-boyfriend. But I don’t like to consider that title any longer. Being just best friends with Saurabh after being in a relationship for over two and a half years of course is hard, but it’s beyond worth it. The relationship did not end badly, it ended because we needed to find ourselves as people, we needed to grow, mature, and progress. And after all of the time we spent together, I know that he is someone I don’t want to lose. He has seen and supported me through my absolute worst, and has never let me down. Without a doubt, he is one of the most compassionate, intelligent, funny, understanding, and good-natured people I have ever come across, and his values, his heart, and his character are rare to find in such a twisted and selfish world. To those of you who believe we “didn’t deserve each other”, Saurabh and I were perfect for each other for a period of our lives, but now that that time is over, we needed to go our separate ways. He has taught me so much and allowed me to develop into the person I am today, and I am thankful for the times we had. Some day he will make another girl beyond happy; I’m just grateful to call such an incredible person my absolute best friend. <3
